Rocinante sails again

After almost a year in Bahia del Sol we are ready to set sail for points south.
Our new radar installed and working beautifully, new generator box, engine hoist, varnished toe rails and companionway, engine maintenance and loads of other maintenance done. All systems checked and working, full water and fuel combined with a good weather window and fairly small swell today make for a great day to go sailing.
We are heading out today with 3 other boats, several others will follow tomorrow and more in the next day or so. We are very excited to be sailing with such a great group, able to share some anchorages with them as we head toward Panama.
Since it has been almost a year since we have sailed I am sure we will have lots to write about as we get our sea legs and brains back in order. The camera battery is charging as I write this so look for lots of pictures in the next few posts.
Fair winds and following seas,
s/v Rocinante, Vicki
